Psalm 18

Reflection question: This powerful Psalm describes a God who is ever-present in times of trouble. I love the image of God as a rock. Which verses speak to you today?

  1. The final verses of praise are wonderful. My Rock, My Savior, He shows unfailing kindness. And Davids words of praise are a song. One verse that disturbed me was verse 41, " They (my enemies) cried for help, but there was no one to save them---to the Lord, but he did not answer." God did not answer??? I guess that doesn't mean he didn't hear them, he just chose to let David win the battle. Does this mean that in our world today that God is chooseing sides in wars? I am not sure what to make of this. Or am I taking it out of context?
