Psalm 19

Reflection question: My internship supervisor always started his sermons with Psalm 19, verse 14: "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer."

The name of the congregation was Our Redeemer. What a neat verse. What does it mean to you?

  1. I think it means that we should be in the Lord always. It isn't just a church on Sunday thing. Taking the Lords name in vain has become so common. Even on TV you hear so much of, "Oh my god". I don't think some people even realize what they are doing, but it is disturbing to me. So...I try to be a good example, although I am not perfect either. And the other part of it is that I hope that my words are an encouragement to people, an affirmation to them that I am listening to them and hearing their words.
