Reflection question: The disciples are identified in this chapter. How do you think they were feeling? What do you think was most on their minds at this point, so early in Jesus' ministry?
Thanks for doing this Emily. Sorry I am a little slow getting started. What first struck me as the disciples were listed was that I am not sure I ever heard of Thaddaeus. I think they must have been nervous, thinking they had no idea what they were getting into. But Jesus must have had a pull for them to follow him. As was said in the previous chapters comments. Jesus shows love. That is what the new diciples saw in him. Love as he was accepting of and healing those who came to him.
I suppose they really didn't have any idea what they were getting themselves into. Every day was probably filled with both excitement and fear at what was coming next. They were a long ways out of their comfort zones!

ReplyDeleteI think their feelings were doubt, surprise, and wonder. I think that the question on their mind was, "What is going on here?"
