Reflection thought: Yikes! These judgment chapters are getting long. I'm pretty excited to get to Easter and hear the good news of Jesus' love and forgiveness and triumph over the grave! :)
I am noticing one thing that I find interesting. Egypt, Ch 46, "I sill not be completly destroy you.". Philistines, Ch 47 have no words of hope. Moab, Ch 48, "Yet I will restore the fortunes of Moab in days to come." Ammon, Ch 49 : "Yet I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites". Edom, He says he will protect the orphans and widows. Kedar and Hazor no words of hope. Elam, "fortunes will be restored in the days to come." I find it interesting that some are given hope and others not. I too am looking forward to the messages this coming week. As a pastor once told me, you can't have Easter Sunday without Good Friday. We need to remember the sacrifice that Jesus did for us.
