For me, this was a hard chapter because it was kind of a "downer" until the final verses. But what was evident was the fact that God is just and uses the same standards to judge the people and the nations. Once again, the theme is prevalent that God expects obedience and when it doesn't happen he has to discipline, not to condemn, but rather to bring people back to himself.

ReplyDeleteYes I agree it was a hard chapter, so much punishment again. The final verses offer hope and I guess like a parent God disciplins but with justice.
