Reflection question: The Psalmist says, "Rouse yourself! Why do you sleep, O Lord? Awake, do not cast us off forever!" Have you ever felt like God was sleeping and not paying attention to your life?
I am not sure that I thought God was sleeping, more like I was sleeping and not paying attention to God. It is too easy to pretend that God isn't important in our lives. We like to feel that we are in control, but we really aren't, God is. I think until surrender to God I can't be happy in this world. The world just leaves you wanting more. God is all the "more" you will ever need.
